Quiet. Silence. Oh, for the sound of silence. I think I would need something a little more upbeat than the Weepies to clear out a forest. Something like Billy Joel. Tells my age! We all enjoy our quiet in different ways. I realize I didn't have enough quiet growing up. You are doing a good job in your quiet time. But I expect to see Daniel Day-Lewis running through the ferns and trees. Keep pruning!!!!!!!!!

Oh yes. One of my absolute favourite groups. Saturday morning music. Hideaway is one of my current go-to albums, something to play when I'm not sure what I'm in the mood for. It's a lovely album, though perhaps a couple of tracks too long. But not a bad song on it. The previous two albums have better, more memorable songs, and a few dispensible efforts. Check out Deb Talan's solo stuff (there are a few Talan songs on my blog, and some Weepies stuff, too). And a golden tip: a superb quality bootleg, approved by Talan and Tannen: http://www.archive.org/details/weepies_2004-09-18_live_in_ohio.shnf

It's really, really good.
