I bet I've mentioned before the video I have of my then 3-year-old son singing Barrytown by Steely Dan. And the Righteous Brothers' You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'. So when he was10 and turned up for his first guitar lesson, his tutor asked him: "So, what do you want to learn?", doubtless preparing himself for an explanation how the oeuvre of 50 Cent doesn't lend itself to classical guitar. He must've been pleased when my son answered: "Johnny Cash". Cool as you like. Your kids will thank you for introducing them to that stuff.
