I think that the best thing about Phoenex is "Never Again." Does it sound an awful lot like "Heat of the Moment"? Yes. Is it the same old formula? Yes. The same old tired formula? I don't think so. It's the sound that Asia fans came to love in the 80's, and it's the reason they'll buy this album, stupid lyrics aside. In fact, the average customer review on Amazon is four out of five stars!

Sadly, it's the only song on the album that I like. I decided to blow my money on Viva la Vida instead. It sucks too, but just not quite as bad.

Funny, that "Phoenix" looks more like an Archaeopterix (which would fit the one-word-starting-with-the-letter-'A' pattern!)
