I had no time for the Beach Boys until I has Wilson's Smile album. The fourth time I listened to it in a loop I "got" it. Only then did I revisit Pet Sounds and even that surf music stuff. Mike Love is an arsehole of the highest order. He wanted to take action against Wilson for diminishing the Beach Boys' reputation with Smile. The last record released by the Love-led Beach Boys: "Santa Goes To Kokomo". Yeah, another late convert here. I had no time for the Beach Boys until I has Wilson’s Smile album.
