Hey Peege, you’re right about these, and right about the forgettableness of Around the Sun… but for the gem on that album, Leaving New York. I’m sure you’ll agree it has all the odd melody, enigmatic lyrics, soaring harmonic crescendo and… other stuff… of an r.e.m. classic. Anyway, it’s been stuck in my head for a few years now.
